Das Tagebuch der NachbarInnen

2009, 30.5x19.5 cm

Six identical prints of a typical bazaar street were turned into a six-day diary,
taking into consideration that the bazaar is closed on the seventh day. Observations and impressions
based on conversations with Cairo people and migrants from Iraq, Sudan, Eritrea and Ethiopia
living in Cairo inspired the interventions on the prints. The project also leads to the question of
brotherhood and otherness.
